Incidents in London
There's a sense of deja vu as I sit here, type this post and listen to CNN reporters talking about some 'incidents' in few tube stations in London. Only a fortnight ago today, there were these massive bombings in the tube and now once again, we hear something ominous. So far, thankfully, no injuries have been reported and so far they are only referring to the events as 'incidents'. We can only assume that a blast must have occurred and it's heartening to know that no casualties have been reported. However, since this is a developing story the information is very sketchy and a full picture will emerge later in the day.
Some members of this blog are residents of London (and few are visiting, too), and hence, their welfare is a matter of personal concern. We like to pray that they (and their loved ones) are safe and sound and that they suffer no harm. We need to pray that the consequences of this blast would not have major ramifications and permanently affect life in London.
How do we as Christians respond to such acts of violence? We need to explore this question in days to come and examine how Christ might deal with a situation of this dimension.
